Accounts Trainee

As an Accounts Trainee, you will play a crucial supporting role in our finance department, contributing to various daily accounting functions and statutory compliance activities. Key Responsibilities

• Assist diligently with day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and processing journal entries.
• Support the accurate preparation and thorough verification of invoices, ensuring all details align with company policies and purchase orders.
• Actively assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and tracking customer payments.
• Maintain meticulous accounting records and comprehensive documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with internal and external auditing requirements.
• Contribute to timely bank reconciliation processes and assist in the preparation of various Management Information System (MIS) reports for internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance efforts related to Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and other pertinent statutory requirements by compiling necessary data.
• Undertake additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned by the reporting manager, fostering a flexible and proactive approach to team support.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree, preferably with a specialization in Accounting & Finance, from a recognized institution is mandatory.
• This role is specifically tailored for freshers or entry-level candidates who are enthusiastic about commencing their career in accounting.
• Possess a foundational understanding of accounting principles, including knowledge of debit/credit, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and the double-entry system.
• Demonstrated good proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to utilize formulas, create pivot tables, and manage data effectively for reporting purposes.
• Prior knowledge or experience with Tally or other similar accounting software will be considered a significant advantage.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• A genuine willingness to learn, adapt, and proactively develop expertise in the Accounts & Finance domain is essential for success as an Accounts Trainee.
