AI Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at StoneX Financials, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our critical data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehousing solutions.
• Implement and manage complex data transformation workflows using DBT, including the creation of dbt models, tests, incremental loads, snapshots, and comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Optimize data warehousing performance and ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data platforms.
• Utilize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to support reporting and analytical needs.
• Work effectively within an Agile framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive project success.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture, processes, and tools, ensuring best practices are applied.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on data warehousing and big data technologies.
• Exceptional hands-on experience with Snowflake for data storage and processing, and DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and optimization is essential.
• Good working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data processing tasks.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience in deploying and managing data solutions within these environments.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data quality methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset for working in cross-functional teams.
