Assistant/Deputy Manager, Supply Chain Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive warehouse operations, including shift management, ensuring uninterrupted material supply to production lines.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, implement FIFO principles, and optimize storage and material movement within the facility.
• Champion safety standards, drive 5S initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in all operational areas.
• Direct finished vehicle and spare parts dispatch operations, coordinating effectively with transporters and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely dispatch processes, meticulous documentation, and proactively monitor logistics performance to resolve any operational issues.
• Develop and execute material planning strategies for car plant components based on production schedules, ensuring timely availability of locally sourced items.
• Manage material planning for Powertrain components, guaranteeing availability as per production requirements and tracking critical shortages.
• Drive inventory optimization efforts and manage shortage resolution by coordinating closely with suppliers, Purchase, Production, and Logistics departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience within the Automotive or Manufacturing industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in Warehouse Operations, Outbound Logistics, Material Planning, or broader Supply Chain Management roles.
• Proficiency in using SAP/ERP systems is highly preferred for managing complex supply chain data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills essential for navigating operational challenges and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, adapting to the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
