Associate Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute Automation Scripts: Design, create, and maintain efficient and effective automation scripts primarily using Java and Selenium WebDriver, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for various applications.
• Perform Diverse Testing: Conduct thorough functional, smoke, and regression testing cycles to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies across different software modules.
• Database Validation: Write and execute precise SQL queries for backend database validation, verifying data integrity and consistency with application logic.
• Defect Management: Proactively identify, document in detail, track the lifecycle of, and report software defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
• Agile Team Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with QA and development teams within a fast-paced Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes, methodologies, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Test Case Development: Assist in the creation and refinement of detailed test cases, ensuring alignment with project requirements and user stories.

Requirements

• Core Technical Skills: Possess a good foundational knowledge of Core Java programming, Selenium WebDriver for browser automation, and SQL for database interactions.
• SDLC/STLC Understanding: Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), along with Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts.
• Communication Prowess: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration, documentation, and reporting within a team setting.
• Analytical Aptitude: Demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving abilities to dissect complex issues and propose viable solutions.
• Growth Mindset: A genuine willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and grow professionally in the challenging and evolving field of QA Automation.
