Associate Backend Engineer (Ruby)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to implement new features and system enhancements.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code in line with best practices.
• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of SIP/VoIP and various telephony systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and infrastructure.
• Work on optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity for our backend applications.

Requirements

• 0-1 year of experience in backend development; freshers with strong foundational knowledge are highly encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with database concepts, including SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C, Go, or Lua.
• Solid understanding of REST API principles and how to build and consume them.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
• Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.
• Any exposure to Node.js, Nest.js, Angular, or CI/CD pipelines will be considered a significant advantage.
• A keen interest in telecommunication protocols and systems like FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, Kamailio, or SIP is highly desirable.
