Business Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders to comprehensively gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for data-centric projects.
• Translate complex business problems and requirements into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications and data models for data engineering teams.
• Perform advanced data querying and analysis using SQL to extract insights, identify trends, detect anomalies, and support decision-making processes.
• Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical development teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute significantly to the design, development, and implementation of robust data solutions within data engineering ecosystems.
• Ensure the highest standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all managed data assets and reporting systems.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, operating within a SaFe framework.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and requirements specifications.
• Provide expert guidance and support to end-users on data interpretation and effective utilization of business intelligence tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar data-focused role.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience working directly on data engineering projects, understanding data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analytical reporting.
• Solid understanding and practical application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SaFe) methodologies.
• Profound knowledge and significant experience within the telecom domain, understanding industry-specific data, processes, and challenges.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
