Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly evaluate salaried loan applications by meticulously analyzing salary slips, comprehensive bank statements, and detailed bureau reports.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of CIBIL and Experian credit reports, banking behavior patterns, existing EMI obligations, and applicants' overall repayment capacity.
• Proactively identify discrepancies, potential red flags, and suspicious activities to mitigate fraud risks and protect the company’s assets.
• Make accurate approval or rejection decisions on loan applications, strictly adhering to established credit policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Customer Profile Verification (CPV), and Operations teams to swiftly resolve queries and streamline the application process.
• Ensure strict adherence to Turnaround Time (TAT) targets, maintain impeccable documentation accuracy, and contribute to the overall quality and health of the credit portfolio.
• Continuously monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting credit underwriting practices to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years of robust experience in a dedicated Credit Underwriter role, preferably within the banking, NBFC, or fintech sectors.
• Proven exposure and expertise in underwriting personal loans and consumer loans specifically for the salaried segment.
• Demonstrated strong understanding and practical experience in conducting bureau analysis and performing comprehensive banking checks.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen ability to identify risks, evaluate financial data, and make sound, data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in basic Excel for data management and analysis, coupled with general system handling knowledge for efficient workflow.
• A solid grasp of financial principles, credit policies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
