As a Data Science Engineer at FirstHive, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform with intelligent capabilities, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Machine Learning models for critical business functions such as customer segmentation, entity resolution, churn prediction, conversion optimization, and personalized recommendations.
• Innovate and implement LLM-powered features, utilizing prompts, embeddings, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance our CDP's capabilities.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for comprehensive feature engineering, data extraction, and various analytical workflows, ensuring data quality and availability for model training.
• Build and maintain efficient model APIs using FastAPI, ensuring seamless integration, and actively support the deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of these models in a production environment.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to establish and refine reliable data pipelines and Machine Learning pipelines, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency across all data science initiatives.
• Participate in regular code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and continuously seek to improve the overall quality and performance of our AI/ML systems.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's (B.E. / B.Tech) or Master's (M.Tech / M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming and strong practical experience with key data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• A solid understanding of core Machine Learning concepts, algorithms, and methodologies, coupled with excellent SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Basic familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, embeddings, and the principles of REST APIs for service integration.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development, showcasing a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Prior experience through academic projects, internships, contributions to Kaggle competitions, or personal Machine Learning projects on GitHub will be considered a significant advantage.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
