Deputy Manager – Human Resources

HDFC Life, a premier life insurance company, is actively seeking a highly skilled and strategic Deputy Manager – Human Resources (Business HR) to join our dedicated HR team. This critical full-time position requires an accomplished HR professional with a proven track record, particularly within the dynamic insurance or broader BFSI sector. As a key Business HR Partner, you will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the strategic alignment of all people initiatives with our overarching business objectives. Based in either our Mumbai (Andheri) or Ahmedabad offices, you will collaborate closely with various business units, especially our sales teams, to drive HR excellence and support our continued growth. Key Responsibilities

• Strategically partner with Sales and other business teams to understand their unique needs and develop tailored HR initiatives that support business growth and profitability.
• Lead comprehensive Talent Acquisition efforts, from sourcing to onboarding, and actively contribute to proactive Workforce Planning to ensure optimal staffing levels and talent pipeline.
• Conduct in-depth HR Analytics, prepare detailed MIS Reports, and present actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making regarding human capital.
• Oversee and support various aspects of Talent Management, including performance appraisal processes, career development frameworks, and succession planning.
• Champion engaging Employee Engagement programs, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and proficiently manage employee grievances with fairness and empathy.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and Business HR Partner, building strong relationships and effectively managing stakeholders across all organizational levels to facilitate smooth HR operations and strategic alignment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive and hands-on Business HR experience, with a significant portion gained within the fast-paced Insurance or BFSI industry.
• A mandatory Post Graduate Degree or Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources from a reputable university.
• Demonstrated strong capabilities in strategic stakeholder management, effective communication, and leveraging HR analytics tools for data-driven HR strategies.
• Exceptional business partnering abilities with a proactive approach to understanding and addressing business challenges through HR solutions.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, closely aligning with business leaders to design and implement impactful people strategies that drive organizational success.
• A solid understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements in India.
