Draughtsman

As a key member of our team, the Draughtsman will play a crucial role in preparing and detailing precise engineering drawings for complex water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will collaborate closely with our experienced design and project engineering teams, from initial concept development through to project execution, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings for various water-retaining structures, including tanks, clarifiers, sumps, and channels, encompassing layouts, sections, and reinforcement details.
• Develop comprehensive General Arrangement (GA) drawings for Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and associated process units.
• Draft intricate piping layouts, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometrics, and detailed pipe support drawings.
• Create advanced 3D models and efficiently extract accurate fabrication and erection drawings from these models.
• Incorporate design changes meticulously, maintain stringent revision control, and prepare precise As-Built drawings upon project completion.
• Compile Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and generate accurate material take-offs directly from engineering drawings.
• Coordinate effectively with on-site teams and various vendors to resolve any drawing-related queries or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Requirements

• A Diploma or ITI certification in Civil or Mechanical Draughtsmanship is essential.
• Possession of 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience in an engineering or related field.
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; strong candidates will also have experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Experience with other 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit will also be highly considered.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of piping components, fittings, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to accurately read, interpret, and work with civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with IS 3370 (design of water-retaining structures) is a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in ETP/STP/WTP or EPC environmental engineering projects is strongly preferred.
