ETL Developer – Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of scalable ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various source systems into data warehouses and data marts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of ETL developers, promoting best practices and efficient coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and data analysts to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure the highest levels of data quality, integrity, and security across all data integration processes.
• Optimize existing ETL jobs and data loading procedures for performance, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Participate in architectural discussions and technology selection processes related to data platforms and tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and data models.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as an ETL Developer, with significant time spent in a Tech Lead or similar leadership role.
• Strong expertise in designing, building, and managing complex ETL solutions using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Exceptional proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization across various relational databases.
• In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid programming skills, particularly in Python, for scripting, automation, and data processing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities to identify and resolve data discrepancies and performance issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite, team-oriented environment in St. Louis, MO.
