FPGA Design Engineer

As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept and design to verification and deployment. You will collaborate with a talented group of engineers, contributing your expertise to create robust and efficient hardware solutions that meet stringent performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify complex FPGA-based embedded systems for various applications.
• Implement high-performance data acquisition and real-time data processing solutions using FPGA technologies.
• Utilize VHDL for hardware description and meticulously implement designs using the Xilinx Vivado design suite.
• Conduct thorough timing closure analysis and manage Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) issues to ensure design integrity and reliability.
• Integrate and test various high-speed communication protocols such as AXI, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Perform comprehensive debugging and validation of FPGA designs using advanced on-chip debugging tools like ILA and VIO.
• Contribute significantly to the design and implementation of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and signal processing functionalities.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, hardware, and system architects, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of overall experience in the field of FPGA design and development.
• At least 4 years of dedicated hands-on experience in FPGA design.
• Demonstrable proficiency in FPGA design methodologies, VHDL, and the Xilinx Vivado development environment.
• Extensive practical experience with Xilinx 7-Series FPGAs.
• Solid understanding and experience with communication interfaces like AXI/AXI4-Stream, DMA, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Proven ability to perform timing closure and effectively manage Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) in complex FPGA designs.
• Familiarity with DSP and signal processing concepts.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
