As the Group Head – Detail & Proposal Engineering, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our engineering operations, focusing on strategic oversight, technical leadership, and process optimization. We are looking for an individual who can combine extensive engineering expertise with exceptional leadership skills to foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical prowess.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and mentor high-performing Proposal & Detail Engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Champion engineering excellence initiatives, standardization protocols, and continuous improvement methodologies across all engineering functions.
• Provide expert oversight for thermal and mechanical design processes, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and optimal performance.
• Manage proposal engineering efforts, including technical approvals and adherence to project specifications and client requirements.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Projects, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Take ownership of quality assurance, cost optimization strategies, timely project execution, and robust engineering governance frameworks.
• Drive the adoption of digitalization, automation tools, and performance improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity within engineering departments.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or an M.Tech in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 14 years of progressive experience in an engineering leadership capacity, ideally within thermal engineering solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in steam engineering product knowledge, detail engineering, and proposal development processes.
• Proven ability in costing, budgeting, and comprehensive process knowledge relevant to engineering project lifecycles.
• Exceptional leadership, people management, and team-building capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving acumen and superior cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• A strategic mindset with a passion for driving innovation and operational excellence in engineering.
