Head – Operations & Maintenance

Antony Waste is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head – Operations & Maintenance / General Manager to spearhead our Waste-to-Energy (WTE) operations in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, strategize, and optimize daily operations and comprehensive maintenance activities for our advanced Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and output.
• Assume full ownership of P&L, implementing rigorous cost optimization strategies and driving overall business performance to meet and exceed financial and operational targets.
• Champion plant efficiency and operational excellence by identifying, developing, and deploying continuous improvement initiatives and adopting industry best practices in the Waste Management sector.
• Ensure unwavering adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, stringent environmental regulations, and all local and national statutory compliance requirements.
• Oversee critical engineering functions, manage the company's fleet, and optimize logistics processes to support seamless plant operations, material flow, and service delivery.
• Provide exceptional leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture, promoting employee development, and effectively engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive successful project execution from inception to completion, implement sophisticated Management Information Systems (MIS) for data-driven decision-making, and instill a culture of continuous improvement across all operational functions as the General Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in a senior leadership or General Manager role, specifically within Waste-to-Energy (WTE), Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), or large-scale process plant operations and maintenance.
• Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive P&L management, strategic cost control, and driving significant business growth in a complex industrial operational environment.
• Profound understanding of plant engineering principles, robust fleet management, and sophisticated logistics within an industrial or waste management setting.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with HSE standards, environmental regulations, and statutory compliance pertinent to waste management, energy generation, and industrial operations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and motivate diverse teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical) or a closely related technical field is essential; a Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
