IAM Security Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and security architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for IAM initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and security policies.
• Evaluate existing IAM infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend enhancements to improve security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to integrate IAM solutions with various applications and platforms using secure API practices.
• Define and enforce security best practices, standards, and guidelines for identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, and access governance.
• Conduct regular security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis related to IAM systems, recommending appropriate controls and remediation.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends, continuously evolving our IAM strategy and architecture.
• Support compliance efforts by ensuring IAM solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Information Security, with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management and security architecture.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing IAM solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), access governance, and privileged access management (PAM).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with IAM services in platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of security protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Kerberos) and directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and integration tasks within IAM environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly desirable.
