Java AWS Developer

As a key member of our engineering team, the Java AWS Developer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying critical enterprise solutions within an Agile development environment. You will work on challenging projects that demand deep technical understanding and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets stringent performance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement highly scalable and resilient applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, adhering to best practices in microservices architecture.
• Integrate and manage various AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS, etc.) to build cloud-native solutions, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain robust REST APIs for seamless communication between different system components and external services.
• Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring high test coverage and participation in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
• Utilize SQL and other database technologies for effective data management, designing and optimizing database schemas and queries.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and other relevant tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, providing technical support and ensuring the continuous improvement of application performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a Java developer with a strong understanding of Java/J2EE ecosystem and modern programming paradigms.
• Demonstrable expertise in developing microservices using Spring Boot framework, including configuration, security, and deployment.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing REST APIs, with a solid grasp of API design principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including familiarity with core compute, storage, database, and networking services.
• Strong background in cloud-based application development, including deployment strategies, monitoring, and scaling in a cloud environment.
• Solid experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) including schema design, query optimization, and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and practical experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies for automated software delivery.
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment, with a commitment to iterative development and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
