Java Backend Developers

As a key member of our engineering team, the Java Backend Developer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems. You will leverage your expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build high-performance solutions that power our critical applications. Your direct experience with UPI applications will be highly valued as you contribute to projects that demand precision, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Maintain and enhance existing backend systems, focusing on performance optimization, scalability, and code quality.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs, integrating various services and third-party platforms effectively.
• Work extensively with SQL databases, designing schemas, writing complex queries, and optimizing database interactions.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, promoting best practices in backend development and microservices patterns.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and resilience of our backend infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-7 years of professional experience in backend development, specifically with Java.
• Mandatory hands-on experience working on a live UPI (Unified Payments Interface) application.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework for building microservices and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Microservices architecture and patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Must be currently based in Chennai and available to work from our office.
• Immediate joiners or candidates serving a notice period are highly preferred.
