Lead Platform Engineer

FeedMe is actively seeking a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer to join our innovative team. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who is passionate about enhancing developer experience, streamlining product team workflows, and transforming complex capability gaps into intuitive self-service platform tools. Key Responsibilities

• Drive the platform vision and Developer Experience (DevEx) by collaborating with Product Leads to identify pain points and translate validated needs into simple APIs, SDKs, templates, and golden paths.
• Take ownership of the Kubernetes ecosystem, continuously improving GitOps and CI/CD pipelines to enable teams to deploy, observe, and scale their services independently and securely.
• Steward shared engines, supporting cross-cutting frameworks developed in TypeScript, Dart/Flutter, and Go, which power both cloud services and offline-first restaurant devices.
• Partner closely with Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) on critical aspects such as reliability, observability, capacity planning, and cloud-cost optimization (FinOps).
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, prototyping essential components, leading design reviews, and mentoring engineers in clean architecture principles and systems thinking.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in scaling, managing, and optimizing Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Go or another systems language, with a proven track record of building production-ready SDKs, libraries, or developer tools.
• Demonstrated experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• A strong product mindset, focusing on Developer Experience (DevEx) and developer velocity, treating internal developers as key customers.
• Bonus experience with Flutter/Dart, offline-first applications (e.g., CouchDB/replication), cross-language schema generation (Protobuf/Zod), or FinOps.
