Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations that meet business requirements.
• Utilize advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functions and Power Query (M language) for complex data transformations, calculations, and data modeling.
• Connect to, extract, and transform data from diverse sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and other enterprise systems.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and other data governance best practices within Power BI reports to ensure data privacy and compliance.
• Manage and optimize Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, data flows, and gateways for efficient data refresh and distribution.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Perform ETL/ELT processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for reporting purposes.
• Actively participate in the full lifecycle of BI development, from conception and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar Business Intelligence role.
• Demonstrated expertise in Power BI Desktop, including advanced features for data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and best practices in data modeling.
• Experience with Power BI Service administration, including workspace management, data refresh scheduling, and security configuration.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics) or Microsoft Fabric is a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
