Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX, for a long-term contract. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in large-scale IP networks and a strong background in network design and troubleshooting. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage large-scale IP networks with a focus on high availability and performance.
• Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Juniper MX, PTX, and ACX series devices using JunOS CLI.
• Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python, Ansible, YAML, and Juniper PyEZ.
• Provide expert-level support for BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, IPv6, and QoS protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to gather requirements and deliver robust network solutions.
• Ensure network security and compliance with industry best practices.
• Lead complex network troubleshooting efforts and resolve critical network incidents efficiently.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in the design, implementation, and operation of large-scale IP networks.
• Proven expertise with Juniper MX, PTX, ACX platforms and JunOS CLI.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS technologies.
• Strong experience with L3VPN, VPLS, IPv6, and Quality of Service (QoS) implementations.
• Proficiency in network automation using Python, Ansible, and YAML, specifically with Juniper PyEZ.
• Excellent troubleshooting, network design, and customer-facing communication skills.
• JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE certifications are highly preferred.
