Patch Management Engineer - L2

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively manage and continuously monitor Windows endpoint patching processes utilizing ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Microsoft Intune to ensure timely updates and compliance.
• Strategically plan, execute, and meticulously validate security and application patch deployments across a diverse range of endpoints, minimizing disruption and maximizing system integrity.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex operating system, application, and various endpoint-related issues, ensuring rapid recovery and sustained productivity.
• Perform comprehensive software and application deployments, critical updates, and timely remediation activities across the organization's IT landscape.
• Regularly monitor patch compliance levels, analyze data, and generate detailed compliance and status reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Investigate the root causes of patch failures, identify underlying issues, and implement effective, long-term remediation strategies to ensure successful and consistent patching cycles.
• Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including application owners, infrastructure specialists, and security teams for swift, coordinated issue resolution.
• Rigorously adhere to established change management protocols, security best practices, and organizational policies to maintain a robust, compliant, and secure IT environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of progressive professional experience in an IT support, systems administration, or dedicated patch management role.
• Demonstrable hands-on expertise with enterprise-level patch management platforms, specifically ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Microsoft Intune.
• Solid understanding and practical experience in the administration and advanced troubleshooting of Windows and MacOS operating systems in a corporate setting.
• Proven ability in application troubleshooting, efficient software deployment methodologies, and comprehensive endpoint management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows patching mechanisms, vulnerability remediation techniques, and industry best practices for patch compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach to complex issue resolution.
• Familiarity with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, for automation and advanced tasks, is considered a significant advantage.
