QA Manual Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual test cases to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
• Perform various types of testing, including Regression Testing and Smoke Testing, to validate software functionality.
• Prepare detailed test cases and test plans based on functional specifications and user requirements.
• Utilize Jira for effective defect tracking, management, and reporting throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Conduct Exploratory Testing to uncover hidden defects and edge cases not covered by formal test cases.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Manual QA Testing is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Manual Testing principles and techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with Regression Testing and Smoke Testing.
• Strong ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools, specifically Jira.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Experience with Exploratory Testing.
• Knowledge of API Testing using tools like Postman is a significant advantage.
• Basic understanding of SQL for database validation is preferred.
