Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources.
• Implement and optimize enterprise-level data warehousing solutions and complex data models.
• Utilize expertise in Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks for efficient data orchestration, processing, and analytics.
• Ensure stringent data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data security protocols are met.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure and processes for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous learning.
• Research and evaluate new data technologies and tools to enhance our data platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or a closely related technical role.
• Proven hands-on expertise with ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and advanced data modeling techniques.
• Mandatory practical experience with Microsoft Azure data services, specifically Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.
• Exceptional analytical acumen and advanced problem-solving capabilities to tackle complex data challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
