Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python-based backend systems utilizing modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
• Architect and implement robust REST APIs and microservices, ensuring high scalability, reliability, and security standards.
• Lead critical database design and optimization efforts, particularly with PostgreSQL and SQL, to ensure efficient data handling and query performance.
• Drive the adoption of technical best practices, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and design patterns, fostering a culture of high-quality code.
• Oversee rigorous code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and actively mentor team members to facilitate their technical growth and professional development.
• Implement and manage robust CI/CD pipelines, integrate comprehensive unit testing, manage Git workflows, and utilize containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for seamless deployments.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party APIs and leverage cloud services, primarily on the AWS platform, for enhanced system capabilities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of extensive professional experience in Python development is essential.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with prominent backend frameworks, including FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
• Profound proficiency in designing, optimizing, and managing relational databases, with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Proven expertise in building and consuming REST APIs and developing scalable microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
• Familiarity with Git for version control, CI/CD practices for automated deployments, and comprehensive unit testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated technical leadership capabilities, including successful mentoring of team members, conducting thorough code reviews, and making critical architectural decisions.
• Must be an immediate joiner or have a maximum notice period of 30 days to ensure a quick transition into the role.
• Comfortable working from our Pune office 5 days a week, adhering to a dedicated UK shift schedule (02:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST).
