Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically for API functionality, performance, and security.
• Perform thorough manual and automated API testing using industry-standard tools like Postman and contribute to the development of robust test automation frameworks.
• Proactively identify, accurately document, and meticulously track software defects and inconsistencies, collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Analyze and interpret detailed API specifications, user stories, and technical requirements to ensure complete and effective test coverage.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and design review through to deployment and post-release validation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools, including advocating for and implementing advanced test automation strategies.
• Ensure strict compliance with established quality standards and actively contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical work experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of dedicated experience as a Software QA Engineer, with a strong focus on API testing.
• Solid understanding of REST API principles, architectural patterns, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with popular API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger UI, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with database testing concepts and experience with SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with version control systems like Git is essential for collaborating within a development environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate defects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document testing procedures effectively.
