Software Test Engineer (Automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for various testing types, including functional, API, performance, and security testing.
• Implement and maintain robust automation test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Robot Framework, and Appium.
• Conduct thorough API testing using tools like Postman to ensure seamless integration, data integrity, and optimal communication between systems.
• Perform detailed performance and load testing with JMeter to identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring application scalability and responsiveness under various conditions.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams within an Agile development methodology, integrating testing early into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Analyze test results, meticulously document defects, and work proactively with developers to ensure timely resolution and effective retesting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall product quality and team efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in software testing or test automation roles.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with test automation tools like Playwright, Robot Framework, or Appium.
• Solid understanding of API testing principles and practical experience with tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and experience using tools like JMeter is highly desirable.
• Experience working effectively in Agile development environments and with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted testing methodologies is considered a significant advantage.
