VMware Administrator

LTM is actively seeking an experienced VMware Administrator for an exciting contractual opportunity. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our virtualized infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in VMware technologies and a commitment to maintaining robust IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain VMware vCenter and ESXi environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Perform VM provisioning, migrations (including vMotion), and capacity planning for virtualized systems.
• Handle patching, upgrades, and configuration management for VMware and Hyper-V platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure using tools like vROps or Dynatrace to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization and infrastructure problems, minimizing downtime.
• Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DRS) solutions.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of virtualized services.
• Optimize platform performance and resource utilization to meet business demands.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a VMware Administrator or similar role.
• Proficiency with VMware vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, and vMotion.
• Experience with Hyper-V virtualization technology.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as vROps or Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding of patching procedures and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Solid background in virtualization technologies and infrastructure management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, contract-based environment.
